About Us – Padstow Boat Trips
Welcome aboard! We’re Dana McKinney and Will Chapman, the duo behind Padstow Boat Trips, a blog dedicated to our sailing adventures across the world. Our journey began in the picturesque region of Cornwall, UK, where we set sail, charting a course that will eventually take us to Will’s home in Melbourne, Australia.
Born and raised in Cornwall, I (Dana) grew up by the sea, always fascinated by the beauty and freedom of sailing. Will, a landscaper from the Central Coast region in NSW in Australia, has an equal love for the ocean, having spent much of his life exploring its depths and shores. Together, we decided to embark on a life-changing voyage – sailing from Cornwall to Umina Beach in Australia (Will’s hometown), passing through iconic destinations like the Panama Canal and the Galapagos Islands.
Through Padstow Boat Trips, we hope to share the highs and lows of life on the water, from the breathtaking sights and hidden gems we discover to the challenges we face as we navigate vast oceans. We also hope to include practical tips about life on a boat. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or an armchair adventurer, we invite you to join us on our slow journey to the other side of the world.
